Or do you simply wish for a fun and engaging exploration that you can share with your family? On Saturday, May 2, 2026 10:00am to 2:00pm CDT, join San Juan Mountains Association on our free, interpretive hike to explore our winter landscape and reveal how a little sun can make life in winter a whole lot easier. We will compare and contrast shady North Slopes with other “sunnier” hillsides in the Ouray Valley.

Groups will meet at the Ouray Visitor Center on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
