Beaumont Hotel Policies
- Beaumont Hotel & Spa is a non-smoking establishment.
- Our historic building offers an adult getaway. Due to the historic nature of the building, we cannot accommodate children under 16 years of age.
- Pets are not allowed to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and comfort for all guests.
Pets/Service Animals
- We accept Service Animals. Only working service animals fall under protection of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- We do not accept emotional support animals.
- We do not accept therapy animals.
Reservation Policy
- To confirm your reservation, a credit card is required at the time of booking.
- Please see our detailed cancellation policy below for information on deposit refunds and fees.
- Guests are responsible for all reserved nights, regardless of when they arrive and depart.
- Our rooms are designed for and rates are based on single and double occupancy.
- A $90 extra person fee will be assessed for each person over the occupancy limit of 2 per room (except Presidential Suite).
- Please note: Beaumont Hotel & Spa does not allow pets or children.

When you reserve a room at our hotel, we agree to turn away all other requests for your room and you agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you reserve. If you plan to arrive later than 8pm, please contact our front desk for late arrival instructions. If you do not show for your reservation, your card will be charged for your full stay and your reservation will be released and noted as a NO SHOW.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- 30 Days Prior: Cancellations must be received 30 day prior to your arrival date to avoid cancellation fees
- Less Than 30 Days: If a reservation is canceled less than 30 days but more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date, there will be a 50% cancellation fee charged to the card on file. .
- Within 24 Hours: 100% of all room charges will be due if canceled within 24 hours of stay.
Spa Appointment Cancellation Policy
- Spa Services: Cancellations must be received 24 hours prior to appointment. In consideration of our hard working spa technicians, we will charge 100% for cancellation made less than 24 hours.
Note: Any & all cancellation situations (that are not the responsibility of our hotel) are treated as any other (including, but not limited to, health issues, weather, work or family problems, forest fires, strikes, acts of God, etc….). Please bear these possibilities in mind prior to purchasing your reservation. Be aware that Colorado Weather is very unpredictable.
Winter weather in the Rockies can lead to hazardous driving conditions, mountain pass driving restrictions or closures, airline delays & cancellations. Our hotel is not responsible for inclement weather. Weather cancellations are treated as any other. Please travel safely!
We strongly recommend Travel Insurance sufficient to cover cancellation costs. Travel Insurance, which is generally inexpensive, can really save a lot of emotional distress if an unforeseen event occurs. Reservations made via Travel Agents & web sites such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Saber, GDS, etc., must be changed or canceled by them.
We cannot cancel your reservation made through these sources. Our cancellation policy still applies, but is likely superseded by the cancellation policy of the booking source – please be aware that many third-party booking sources have far more stringent cancellation policies than ours, but we are contractually bound to comply with their policy. This cancellation policy is firm and no exceptions will be made. The policy printed here supersedes any other cancellation policies.
Check-in & Check-out Times & Early Arrival Info
- Check-in begins at 4pm & ends at 8pm.
Storage of bags is available for arrivals before 4pm. Please call us before 8pm if you will be checking in later than 8pm. - Check-out time is no later than 11am.
We ask that you be respectful of this time since our cleaning staff needs access to the rooms. A fee of $35 will be charged for late check-ins & check-outs.

Hotel Discount Policy
We are pleased to offer select discounts at our discretion for members of the armed forces, police, firefighters, and other qualifying organizations. A valid ID must be presented at check-in.
The discount applies only to the room of the registered guest who presents the ID. If multiple rooms are booked, only the room associated with the qualifying guest will receive the discount; all other rooms will be charged at the current rate.
Only one discount may be used per stay. Discounts cannot be combined with any other promotional offers.

Beaumont Hotel, established in 1886, has been a staple of Ouray’s hospitality scene. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Ouray’s charming Main Street, teeming with shops, restaurants and historical attractions.
Presidential Suite
President Theodore Roosevelt’s favorite room during his stay, this expansive suite is the largest at the Beaumont and comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Original windows frame breathtaking views of Mount Abrahams and Box Canyon to the south, with Twin Peaks and historic Main Street to the west. The grand living area features an original (nonfunctional) stone fireplace, flat-screen TV, queen sleeper sofa, writing desk, dining table, and inviting seating. Guests are often captivated by the ornate wallpaper adorning both the walls and ceiling, along with the beautiful period light fixtures.
The fully stocked kitchenette includes marble countertops, a painted sink, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The master bedroom offers an antique sleigh-style king bed, while a second adjoining room features an original antique metal queen bed. Each bedroom includes a flat-screen TV and sitting chair, and the bathrooms are appointed with extra-deep combination tub and shower.
