How and when should I make my Spa appointments?

What is the Spa’s cancellation policy?

If you need to change or cancel a spa appointment, please notify us at least 24-hours in advance or you will be charged 60% of your treatment value.

100% for no-shows.

What time should I arrive for my Spa service(s)?

Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled service to allow time for check-in and relaxation before your treatment begins.

What if I’m late?

Arriving late will limit the time for your spa treatment, lessening its effectiveness and your enjoyment. As your service was reserved at a specific time, your treatment will end at its set time so that the next guest is not inconvenienced and the full treatment price will apply.

Can I bring my kids to The Spa?

The Spa is an adult sanctuary, and we kindly request that children are not brought to services. The Beaumont Hotel & Spa is reserved for adults aged 16 and over, ensuring a peaceful environment for all guests.

What are my responsibilities as a guest?

What if I have special medical conditions?

We recommend that you check with your physician before visiting The Spa. Please notify us of any special needs or concerns when you book your services. Your therapist will also briefly review your health history with you before beginning your service. If (s)he believes that the service you are scheduled for is unsafe based on any information given, (s)he may recommend canceling the service, booking another service or modifying the service to make it safe for you. As we are most concerned about your safety and comfort, the Spa reserves the right to refuse service to any guest at any time.

Where is the Spa and where should I park?

Our Ouray day spa is located on the third floor of the historic Beaumont Hotel at 5th and Main in Ouray. You may park in front of the building in our reserved guest parking. Check in at the hotel’s front desk where you can also inquire about spa amenities.

What should I wear during my treatment?

Please disrobe to the level of your comfort in order to enjoy your service. A robe and sandals will be provided in your locker, or you are welcome to bring your own swimsuit for your spa experience. Our therapists are fully trained in proper draping procedures to ensure your privacy and comfort.

Hot Sulfur Springs in Colorado

Colorado is a hotbed of incredible hot sulfur springs.

Ouray Hot Springs Pool

Just a short walk from the Beaumont, the city-owned Ouray Hot Springs Pool sits along the Uncompahgre River and features five pools ranging from 78°F to 106°F.

The mineral-rich water flows over a mile from Box Canyon by gravity and is notably free from the sulfur smell common at other hot springs. It’s the perfect warm-up, or wind-down, alongside a spa treatment at the Beaumont.

Pagosa Hot Springs

Pagosa Springs is famous for its healing hot springs, with therapeutic mineral waters that have drawn visitors for centuries. About 130 miles south of Ouray (roughly 3 hours via US-550), the town offers several soaking options ranging from full resort spas to intimate boutique pools.

The scenic drive through Silverton and Durango makes the journey just as rewarding as the destination.

Glenwood Hot Springs

Glenwood Hot Springs is world-famous for the largest hot springs pool on Earth — 405 feet long and holding over one million gallons of mineral water, kept at a comfortable 90°F.

It sits about 178 miles north of Ouray, a 3-hour drive that passes through some of Colorado’s most dramatic mountain scenery.

Indian Hot Springs

Indian Hot Springs in Idaho Springs features a geothermal mineral pool under a translucent dome filled with tropical plants, banana trees, and palms — a lush escape set against the Rockies.

Located just off I-70, it’s an ideal stop for Beaumont guests traveling to or from Denver.

Valley View Hot Springs

Valley View Hot Springs is a secluded, nonprofit-owned retreat at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, with seven natural pools tucked into an alpine forest at temperatures up to 106°F. The property is clothing-optional and strictly reservation-only, keeping it intentionally quiet and uncrowded.

It’s one of Colorado’s most unique hot springs experiences — well worth the 2.5-hour drive from Ouray for a day or overnight trip.
